Utah Symphony Field Trip
This past week the fifth grade had the opportunity to ride the school bus to Grantsville High School to hear a special presentation from the Utah Symphony.

The symphony caught the student's attention right away by opening with the theme from the popular "Harry Potter" movies. From there, the symphony played other pieces ranging from The Sorcerer's Apprentice to A Mid-summer's Night Dream.
Before each piece was performed the conductor explained to the children how the music reflects the mood of what is happening in the story it depicts. The students left with an appreciation for the impact music has on all performing arts.
